Biography:
With over 25 years of market research experience at Kantar, Himalee is a pioneer in the use of specialized research methods, leveraging innovative techniques to help design strategies for leading companies in diverse business sectors.

Currently, Himalee serves as the country representative for ESOMAR. She was recognized as the outstanding country representative at the 75th ESOMAR Congress held in September 2022 in Toronto, Canada for her exceptional contribution towards the market research industry and leadership provided to uplift market research in Sri Lanka. She was also recognized as an ?Insights 250 Winner? in 2022 and 2024.

The most recent contribution Himalee made to the Research Industry in Sri Lanka is spearheading the re-classification of Socio-Economic Class ? SEC by adding a third dimension to the existing classification in collaboration with the Market Research Society of Sri Lanka ? MRSSL where she is also the founder Secretary, a past President and the past Chairperson.

Himalee was instrumental in introducing the world-class Kantar RapidMeter to Sri Lanka in 2014, a technologically advanced system for measuring TV audiences, making Sri Lanka the first country outside the UK to launch the Kantar RapidMeter system.

In 2016, Himalee was recognized for her leadership and contribution to market research at the World Marketing Congress. She was also awarded Woman Super Achiever at the Silver Jubilee of the World HRD Congress in 2017.

Himalee continues to serve on several local and international Judging Panels.

Himalee holds a Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa, Canada. She also holds a Bachelor?s Degree in Law.

Apart from her professional pursuits, Himalee has a deep passion for sports, music, yoga, and meditation.
